Mark graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. His primary emphasis was in security analysis and portfolio design. Upon graduation Mark worked in a number of lending capacities with several Houston financial institutions.

In 1993, Mark completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler. He passed the CPA exam the next year and began working in the profession. For the past 15 years Mark has been preparing a variety of tax returns, primarily for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates and foundations.

Mark started with Gail Prather in 2000 prior to the formation of Prather Kalman, PC.
